AlastralGuardian commission

This project has been quite on-going, started early 2014. The purpose of this commission is to have a rugged, versatile and cohesive outfit for traveling across the world... or to the local convention. Inspired by the simplicity and comfort of traditional Japanese clothing, I've also given it my typical utilitarian flare. On stress points I've added rivets. On the SteepleJacks are knee reinforcements and side vents. The Kimono style shirt has internal pockets and sleeves that can be full length or secured at half-length.

The bag has been designed to hold a bed roll, sleeping bag, umbrella, food, and whatever else a wonderer would care to carry. The shoulderstrap is 6" (15.25cm) at its widest and is secured to the bag via wooden handles. We came up with a rather interesting method of adjusting the shoulder strap length. With the grommets running along the sides, it can be laced at various points to adjust the length, also adding a great looking lace detail!

All fabric is 100% cotton twill or denim, the green was dyed by me. Veg-tanned leather belt, latigo lace and solid brass hardware for accents.
