Workwear Genes by Marcusstratus Workwear Genes by Marcusstratus
These are the same Genes I made back in January/February 2012
 Denim Suit by Marcusstratus
Unfortunately, that original picture didn't have balanced light and so you can hardly see the Genes. Well, by September 2013, I wasn't wearing them anymore because they began to look pretty tattered and worn (as seen on the far right) These are about the only pants I wear for work (plastics manufacturing for NIKE) and they definitely show it. Even the leather on the cuffs had torn quite badly.

So in October 2013 I put some proper reinforcements on the front of the legs and knees where the genes showed the most wear. I used pig suede for the leather this time because it has a particularly high tensile strength for its weight. Now I feel like I could wear them for a couple more years straight, at least.

100% cotton denim with top grain leather and suede reinforcements. Solid brass hardware.

Aye, I don't post everything I make either, usually new stuff. If it's just another something that I've already got in the gallery, I don't post it to avoid redundancy.

Love your designs and color choices. I'd pay you to make me work pants if I had the money for it.

Clothes like that pay for themselves. Their durability makes them worth it.

Heh... sorry to point out a typo, but it's "tensile" strength, not tinsel. I imagine you'd only need tinsel strength at certain times of the year.
