Description

If you were to see me walking around Portland during the cold weather, this may be something you'd see me wearing.

I'm sporting my suede jacket (it's one of the first deviations in my gallery), some military surplus wool pants, my Tsubo shoes and some leg ties.

Key points to this fashion that make it Weerd are:
-The ties below the knee, they can be fairly tight without restricting movement. They work best on pants that are to long for you and are also rather baggy.
-The belt over the jacket, a Must! It looks best with a fairly long jacket.
-Sleeves that are quite baggy, as these are.

Dumb question, but when wearing pants with the ties below the knees, does an inner shirt tend to untuck itself a lot if the wearer is climbing steep stairs? i.e. Would the pants tend to ride down towards the knees due to the anchoring below the knees?

(Then again, you've used baggy tobi/hakama/steeplejack styles of pants so much that there would be more room to handle any repeated, sudden tugs downward. Plus the waists on such pants tend to be slightly higher and might have more "give" room. What have you found to be the case?)

BTW, I never knew that about the trick of using such belt-ties to keep long pants at a wearable size. I'm going to have to try that technique out. Thanks!
