Sunshine-32156 Commission by Marcusstratus Sunshine-32156 Commission by Marcusstratus
This is a vest I made for a Plague Doctor costume ~Sunshine-32156 will be wearing for Halloween. So lacking a proper Plague Doctors mask, I improvised with my leather one. It doesn't have as many pockets as my previous cargo vest (which is why I accepted the commission).

The symbol on the back is the olde symbol for Jupiter as well as Tin in alchemical practices. We decided to have something on the back to fill in that empty space and this is what he decided on. It's cut out with all sides turned under and then topstitched around the perimeter

I added studs to the hood to weigh it down and give it the correct shape. Otherwise these big hoods just float about. The random dee rings and clasps don't have a specific purpose, but I imagine he can add a variety of items to them as he chooses.

It's linen lined and water resistant sailcloth (cotton) on the outside. When I prewashed the outer vest fabric... nothing happened. So that's an added bonus. All the hardware is solid brass.

Ya it arrived really quickly. Put it on along with my plague doctor mask and it looks awesome. Just have to work on getting the final touches done with the outfit, mainly the missing pieces, and I will post a picture or few up on here.

A vest similar to this will run 300-400 depending on fabric, pockets, size etc.

Neither. It's actually the alchemical symbol for Jupiter. www.google.com/search?q=jupite…

Sorry to interrupt, but I think you might check Wikipedia page  if you want to learn about astronomical symbols
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronom…
also google 'planet symbols' and 'alchemy symbols' for more! In modern times they're considered pagan symbols or something but are quite fascinating as well and have interesting history.
Hope I helped.

If you take Time to be Wiccan, you have to take time to learn. Just like "being" a Christian :/

Dosn't work like that anymore. Learning comes first, people nowadays calls themselves many things without actually being it.
