For a while now I've been wanting suspenders to attach to my leather belt so that when I put alot of weight on it (tools, panel skirt, etc.) it doesn't just keep sliding down my hips. So a few weeks ago I finally began working on them and made them in a couple days. Pretty much since then I've been wearing them with the Wize Mans Belt [link] everytime I leave the house.
Nice work! Looks like they may even be comfortable for the weight, which is awesome!
I want to wear this!
GREAT PIECE. VERY STEAMPUNK
Awesome! Both cool and functional!
Absolutely brilliant, I need something like that to keep the dang Thing-O-Meter from pulling my belt off.
You know, the old saying goes: "Never trust a man who wears braces and a belt; how can you trust a man who can't even trust his own pants?" However, these things are so fucking awesome that the old saying can go stuff itself.
haha I haven't heard that saying before, must be old because pants hardly ever fit anymore
very nice and symmetric, despite i'm more for the classic asymmetric one, mix this with a tool belt and you got a good filler for the military jacket
woah, you gotta be doing outfits for fantasy movies. Skillful work sir! The photographer also makes it look pleasant.
omg that is the coolest thing ever! So cool!
Sometimes I wish I were a man just so I had more justification in wanting to wear such things... I'll still wear a totally "masculine" steampunk outfit someday.
hah certainly easier for women to wear masculine things then men to wear feminine things, from my experience, it's like people don't think twice. But when a guy puts a skirt on, watch out!
I love this!!! Very well done, and I love the quality...
this is beautiful. I love your work
Very delightful design, you've created them for use, I like them as a fashion acessory. I'm very into steampunk and am ultimately fascinated by this unique design, if it's not too rude to ask, how much do you think I could commission you for one of my very own out of pure curiosity.
Well, if you're interested in the utility belt, suspenders and all it will run over $200-300.oo easily. The suspenders alone however will be more like $75-100. The price variation being mostly dependent on the size of your body.
That is very cool!!!
I love it when something as epic and beautiful as this is actually functional. Its coolness rises exponentialy. Man, I want a pair! Thanks for at least letting us see!
aye Thanks!! Yes, this is very good to wear, but only during the cooler months, gets a bit hot under it during this season.
I really like how the back connects at the upper back, inspires me to alter my own universal harness.
Aye it's a really good way to do it. just make sure the pieces aren't thick back there otherwise it may get uncomfortable when sitting back or wearing a backpack
That is awesome, and practical!
hehe yup, I love them, makes wearing the belt that much more comfortable
Oh, very nice. Suspenders have never looked so good. Your leatherwork is fantastic, you should be proud.
OOH YES! but a part of me says,"Never trust a man with both a belt and suspenders to hold his pants up." I think I first heard that from the game gun.
haha, but here's the trick, the suspenders are only holding up the belt... so what do you do then? hehe
Excellent work, young Sir. You pay attention to all the right details...too many people don't bother to finish edges at all. It looks like you've doubled over and stitched the shoulder straps. I'm going to steal that idea. I made a shop apron out of a blacksmith side almost 30 years ago, and I have to replace the neck strap every few years because I wear it so much. I'll owe you for that elegant solution.
Have I ever said how much I love your leatherwork?
The front is lederhosen-esque, but winningly so.
