Concept II Final 1 by Marcusstratus Concept II Final 1 by Marcusstratus
This is the concept board to my final project in Concept Development II. This time we were to choose a piece of art or architecture to design a collection off of.
I chose the Wilkinson Residence, by Portland based architect Robert Harvey Oshatz www.oshatz.com. He designs organic architecture that is harmonious with the surroundings it's built upon. This particular structure is a residential house here in Portland (I don't know where though), it's built on a slope causing the deck and further parts of the house to be in the tree canopy like a tree house.

The clothing I designed off of this will be uploaded shortly.

Aye, indeed. That's a splendid house, I would enjoy getting the chance to go though it. Look up other work that the architect has done, it's all stellar.

that's a really neat house, it reminds me of my grandfather's lake cabin in some kind of bendy carnival mirror or something.

The most favorite architect of mine is Frank Lloyd Wright (surprise!) and many of his student and folowers. Oshartz took the best of Wright's distinctive features and also can develop his unique vision of architecture, so no doubt he is one of my favorite too=)

They have very interesting composition with asymmetric lines and such. Looks very 'close to nature' and quite comfortable actually. ;) Nice work with the designs. :D
