BlazeTBW Belt Commission by Marcusstratus BlazeTBW Belt Commission by Marcusstratus
Inspired by ~BlazeTBW commissioned me to make a similar belt, but more formal, to be worn with a Tuxedo. I made a simple, elegant black leather belt with nickle/silver hardware and with it put a wool underbelt. Using more refined techniques then the other belt, I have as little top stitching showing as possible and also did some simple hand stitched motifs on the corners.

Since it's made to be worn by a woman I have my wife *aelthwyn modeling the belt.

Looks like this belt has been-
:iconcsiplz: topped off.

... ^^; Sorry.

:D But YES! The little detail is just enough~ I like how that turned out! I remember the initial pictures about how solid everything is. I wouldn't be surprised if this outlives me!

... I don't know what else to say other than I love the way you do your voodoo~

I'll keep an eye on it in the post too~

Thank you again for taking this on!

Definitely! I know the leather bit will certainly be generational.

Your work is such a great example of really taking pride in making beautiful, elegant, classic items. This belt is gorgeous.

Thank you! It certainly is better to be able to make items like these myself.

:O I love that accent stitching. But the leather work takes the hat.
Did you dye it yourself?

indeed. It started as a good quality veg tanned leather. Dyed it with Tandy's professional water stains which I'm quite impressed with. It's all I've been using to dye leather since they came out with 'em.

I'll have to look into that professional stain(s) by Tandy. It looks superb. So thanks for the reference.

Certainly. I'm definitely more fond of it then their ecoflo dyes. Though those are good for dying unwaxed thread.
